motake - Takeyoshi Fukuda
Graduate of the Department of Space and Environment Design, Musashino Art University Junior College of Art and Design. Tokyo-based photo artist and creative director. In 2001, he founded a digital creative production company, and has led planning and creative direction for websites and advertising for more than twenty-five years since.
His photographic practice spans two lines: a documentary monochrome series of street photography rooted in the age-old Japanese sensibility that spirits dwell in all things, and cinematic color works that revive the colors of memory. Both are grounded in a cinema-like approach — weaving light and shadow that evoke atmosphere and the passage of time with traces of human presence, in pursuit of the truth that lies beneath.
His representative work Cambodian Taxi Driver (2010) is a photo-essay film combining photographs — visualized from his own novel — with music. The work premiered at the Cambodia International Film Festival 2011. In Hawaii, it was screened, with photographs exhibited and sold, at an event organized by e-mail foster parents, a volunteer organization supporting Cambodian orphans. The DVD was also sold at multiple stores in Siem Reap.
His debut zine SHIBUYA 2025 - Ashen Reincarnation etches in monochrome the landscapes of Tokyo — consumed by economic stagnation and the tide of unplanned urban development. Continuing the series, PARIS 2007 - Forme d'une Ville develops anew the Paris of 2007 — asking whom the city, built in pursuit of happiness, now makes happy.

motake - 福田武芳
武蔵野美術大学短期大学部デザイン科空間演出デザイン専攻卒業。東京を拠点に活動するフォトアーティスト、クリエイティブディレクター。2001年にデジタルクリエイティブプロダクションを設立して以降25年以上にわたりWebサイトや広告表現のプランニング、クリエイティブディレクションを手がける。
フォトアーティストとしての活動は二つのラインに分かれる。日本古来の「万物に魂が宿る」という感性を根底に置いたストリートスナップドキュメンタリーモノクロシリーズと、記憶の色を蘇らせるシネマティックなカラー作品群。いずれも、シネマライクなアプローチに基づき、空気感と時間の経過を想起させる光と影、人の気配を織り交ぜ、その奥に潜む真理を追求している。
代表作「Cambodian Taxi Driver」(2010)は、自身の小説を視覚化した写真に音楽を組み合わせたフォトエッセイ・フィルム。カンボジア国際映画祭2011オープニングプレミア上映作品に選出。またハワイではカンボジア人孤児支援ボランティア団体e-mail foster parents主催イベントにて作品上映・写真展示販売を行った。DVDはシェムリアップ市内複数店舗にて販売。
初のzine「SHIBUYA 2025 - Ashen Reincarnation」は、経済の停滞と無秩序な都市開発の波に飲み込まれゆく東京の風景を刻むモノクロ作品。シリーズとして続く「PARIS 2007 - Forme d'une Ville」は、幸福を目指して造られた都市がいま誰を幸福にしているのかを問う、2007年のパリを改めて現像した。
